The everyday is extraordinary
Architectural device for CONTENEDORES 20. In 2020, Lugadero receives an invitation from Rubén Barroso to participate in the 20th edition of Contenedores, an unusual art festival.
Lugarizador#001 is an architectural device that, located unexpectedly in different public spaces of the city, is capable of interfering and distorting the development of its everyday life. The goal is to raise awareness, on one hand, of the institutionalization of the artistic landscape, and on the other, of how the scenes proposed by CONTENEDORES move away from disciplinary notions of the arts, positioning themselves around artistic practices that allow understanding the context of the city at each moment.
Lugarizador#001 proposes relocating some everyday experiences to public space, such as those that take place in private spheres, where a stance on the city is taken; therefore, an open selection of participants from the local public sphere will be responsible for activating the artifact.
