WWWEICKERT: Guillermo Weickert as an open entity

Let Weickert’s work serve as an excuse to engage in an exercise of active accompaniment that traverses an unmanageable variety of aesthetic, philosophical, and literary notions and approaches, where social, physical, and digital networks coexist with pop music and all trends.

It would be necessary to analyze Weickert as an open entity, with permeable boundaries, to observe how the roots of his messages remain almost unchanged, resisting the passage of years and projects, and how the evolution of his language and the intervention of others have introduced substantial differences in his creations.

A process through which to discover in Guillermo countless inductive reasonings, from the constant search to analytical capability, from intuition to constant questioning of the foundations, from research and reading to critical observation, from intuitive response to resolution through atmospheres, movements, and music. And back to the beginning.

Guillermo Weickert is part of that scene which, as a phenomenon, has conquered an important part within cultural hierarchies today, hence, the permanent contribution of aesthetic, technological, socio-economic, and institutional factors would go through a process of accompaniment that also integrates parts of his daily life, his consumption, and social practices, generating discourses about them from viewpoints far beyond the scenic. Accumulation, as a creative force, would sediment layers of experiences and concepts in him in a necessarily timeless sequence; suggesting connections, contexts, and origins through an endless unfolding of contents and constant overlapping of messages, in an endless superimposition of figures.

Becoming aware of the freedom of our avatars and confronting the creation of a virtual universe with the characteristic power of the corporeal in Weickert would reveal predictable contexts of maturity and, at the same time, stimulating open spaces of vulnerability.

To accompany, to be with others and to go along with them. That has been our conquest.
